Traveling Trunk Program
The Traveling Trunk program brings arts resources in a variety of subject matter directly to your classroom. Each "trunk" is filled with art objects, artifacts, visual materials and hands-on activities to enhance student exploration and learning. The Traveling Trunks also feature reference materials and curriculum guides that help arts teachers, classroom teachers, and homeschooling parents integrate the study of global and regional art history with visual art, social studies and language arts classes. - A Lasting Impression
This Traveling Trunk focuses on the work of the Pennsylvania Impressionists and their place in the history of art while exploring authentic artifacts, historical photographs and challenging activities.
- George Nakashima: One with Nature
This interdisciplinary resource kit uses hands-on artifacts and challenging activities to help students learn about the life of internationally know master woodworker George Nakashima.
- Michener Goes Modern
Students will discover the world of New Hope Modernism, and come to know its connection to modern art, architecture, culture and technology, and how Modernism impacted art and architecture in the twentieth century.

Family Guides
Download one of our Michener family guides to use during your next museum visit. These guides engage young people and adults while exploring the Michener Art Museum and its galleries. They will help art lovers of any age to better understand the paintings and sculptures in our permanent collections. Although the guides were originally designed for families, teachers and homeschooling parents will also find them useful while planning a trip to the Michener Art Museum. Old Stones and Lost Souls: Looking Through the Jailhouse Door Curriculum Binder
A multidisciplinary unit developed for middle to high school students exploring the history, philosophy, and architecture of the original Bucks County Prison, which was converted into the James A. Michener Art Museum in 1988. Timelines, visuals, poetry, activities and supplemental literature focus on the prison and the science of criminology. This unit was developed to work in conjunction with the Cell Exhibit, located in the Pfundt Sculpture Garden.

Teaching Posters for Your Classroom
Reproductions featuring works from the Museum's permanent collection are available for rental in your classroom. Posters can be rented up to a three-month period, at a $10/month rental rate. Materials on the artwork, the artist, and activity sheets are available at time of rental. Learn more about available posters

ACCESSARTS Educational Kits
ACCESSARTS includes five educational kits developed to fit the needs of the visually impaired student mainstreamed in the classroom. Combining audio and visual aids, these kits introduce fives areas of the Michener Art Museum's collection: Look Into Landscape, Learning With Lassie, Space and Place, Mr. Michener, The Legacy Lives, and Creative Bucks County.
The kits provide an interactive classroom experience to a group of students with a variety of learning styles. These kits feature interdisciplinary classroom activities and resource materials as well as pre and post visit study guides to the Museum. These kits are to be used in conjunction with the Michener Art Museum's Explore Through the Art Door Curriculum Binder.
ACCESSARTS Educational Kits Look Into Landscape and Learning With Lassie are available for rent for $25/month, for up to 2 months. A $50 security deposit is due at time of rental. The deposit will be returned if no items are returned damaged or missing.

Art Research and Reference Library
The Michener Art Museum preserves and maintains an extensive archive that documents the work of regional artists both past and present. The library consists of over 20,000 items including artists' biographies, exhibition catalogues, press materials, reviews, books and videotapes. Bucks County Artists' Database
A touch-screen, interactive Bucks County Artists' database is located in the Mari Sabusawa Michener Wing. It contains information about over 300 Bucks County artists from a variety of creative disciplines, both past and present. Any visitor can use this important research tool during gallery hours. You may also visit the Bucks County Artists' Database online.
